Will the dolphins disappear very soon?

Chinese White Dolphin

General perception that the local population of Chinese White Dolphins might be extinct in a few years is not true and is not supported by scientific evidence.

There are about 2500 dolphins living in the Pearl River Estuary (including Hong Kong). This number indicates the dolphin population is still viable in the region and there is no evidence that the dolphin is doomed to extinct soon.
