Report Strandings

What should I do if I find a stranded Indo-Pacific finless porpoise?

Please call 1823 and inform Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for investigation.

The following information would help our investigation:

  1. Your name and telephone number;

  2. Date and time of discovery;

  3. Location (as specific as possible);

  4. Status of the stranded animal (e.g.,  alive, freshly dead, slightly decomposed, rotten or mummified);

  5. Type and size of the stranded animal.
