Description:
Dusky Frillgoby is one of the commonest gobies in Hong Kong. Its body colour is greyish brown with pale spots on head; pectoral, pelvic, anal and caudal fins are translucent to whitish. The fish can be readily distinguished from other gobies by its distinct dark band (sometimes yellow) on first dorsal fin margin and procession of 2 to 3 free ray branches from pectoral fins. There is no obvious sexual dimorphism except the adult males bear longitudinal blue lines on lateral sides of the bodies.
