Description: Tropical Sand Goby is a medium-sized goby with a pale coloured body. There is a dark bar running through eye, and mid-lateral sides of body have five blotches formed by paired dots and last blotch not branched. The fish shows obvious sexual dimorphism in which males bear transverse yellow lines on flank and the second flexible spines of first dorsal fins elongated into filaments.

  • Found in intertidal waters throughout Hong Kong.
