Description: Javanese Fatnose Goby has a rounded head and dull-witted snout. Body is pale in colour with brown speckling. There is a thin dark stripe from eye to lower part of opercula and a row of markings on mid-lateral side of body in which the marking composed of 2 black dots. Posterior part of first dorsal fin has a deep blue spot and there are 2 black spots on caudal base.

  • A widespread species occurring in estuaries and coastal waters of Hong Kong.
Global Distribution
  • Indo-Pacific region, southward to Great Barrier Reef and north to Japan.
