Location: Pak Tam Au ( Ngau Wu Tun), Sai Kung East Country Park

Accessibility: Easy; for beginners
Introduction: This site is situated inside the Sai Kung East Country Park. Natural topography is surrounded by lush green woodlands. One can observe birds flying and even building their nests nearby aloft the branches. Ngau Wu Tun, a hotspot for nature photographers is not far from the campsite.

Highlights: Pak Tam Au - A popular starting point for hiking activities as well as the start of MacLehose Trail Stage 3. The Pak Tam Au Village is next to the campsite which is an ideal site for training orienteering skills.
How to get there: From Sai Kung Bus Terminal take Bus 94 or take Bus 96R from the Diamond Hill MTR Bus Terminal on Sundays and statutory holidays to Wong Shek, or take Minibus 7 (Hoi Ha) at Sai Kung minibus terminus. Get off at Pak Tam Au stop. Trace the second stage of MacLehose Trail towards Chek Keng. After a brief 10 minute walk, one will be able to see the campsite entrance on the right hand side. Follow the steps up the path and after an easy 10 minute stroll, you will be at the campsite.
Remarks: The campsites are categorized into 3 size classes with reference to the number of potential tent space which is estimated based on the approximate size of a 4-person tent and the required cooking space and access pathway for campers. This is for reference only.
Campsite category: Small / Medium / Large
Small: for category with less than 20 tent spaces.
Medium: for category with 20 – 50 tent spaces.
Large: for category with more than 50 tent spaces.
