The need for marine parks and marine reserves
In order to protect the marine species and their habitats, the designation of marine park can serve multiple purposes of conservation, education, scientific research and recreation; while the designation of marine reserve can serve the purposes of conservation, education and scientific research. Through the establishment of marine park and marine reserve and through understanding their objectives, we wish that the co-existence of marine species and humans can be achieved.
