COUNTRY PARKS ORDINANCE (Chapter 208)
(Section 9(1))
Pursuant to section 8 of the Country Parks Ordinance (Chapter 208) (“the Ordinance”), the Country and Marine Parks Authority has prepared the draft map and its explanatory statement (“the draft map”) for the proposed Lantau North (Extension) Country Park.
The proposed country park covers most of the areas stretching from Tai Shan above Penny’s Bay in the east, to Tai Ho, Tung Chung and Sham Wat in the west. It is bound to the south by the Lantau North Country Park, and to the north by the North Lantau Highway and the new town at Tung Chung. The total area is about 2360 hectares. Its proposed location and boundaries are shown on the draft map.
A copy of the draft map is available for inspection by the public free-of-charge at each of the following Government offices for a period of sixty days from the date of publication of this Notice during the hours when these offices are normally open to the public.

Copies of the draft map (uncoloured) are available for sale to the public (at $34 each) at the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 6th Floor, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon.
In accordance with section 11 of the Ordinance, any person aggrieved by the draft map may within a period of 60 days from the date of publication of this Notice send to the Country and Marine Parks Authority and to the Secretary of the Country and Marine Parks Board at the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 5th Floor, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, a written statement of his objection to the draft map which shall set out :-
(a) the nature of and reasons for the objection; and
(b) if the objection would be removed by an alteration to the draft map, any alteration proposed.
The notice (GN 4171) issued in respect of the proposed Lantau North (Extension) Country Park on 13 July 2001 is hereby revoked.
