Co-operative for American Relief Everywhere Loan Fund
A fund established in 1957 to make short-term loans to fishermen.
| Objectives |

Loan may be granted for :
-
the repair, replacement or provision of fishing vessels, gear and equipment, including engines and navigational and electronic aids;
-
any other approved purpose which will sustain or improve the applicant's fishing business.

| Qualifications of Applicant |
: |
Applicant must be a member of a registered fishermen's co-operative society or a local fisherman who:
-
owns one or more fishing vessels;
-
is a bona fide fisherman; and
-
markets or intends to market his catches through the Fish Marketing Organization.
