Fee adjustment for AFCD services
Friday, October 3, 2014

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) today (October 3) reminded members of the public that fees for 18 services provided by the department will be revised on October 31.

The fee items to be revised relate to:

(a) registration of pesticides and issue and renewal/extension of licences or permits for the import, manufacture, sale, supply or possession of pesticides;
(b) issue of licences or permits to hold permanent or temporary exhibitions of animals or birds respectively; and
(c) issue of licences to keep riding establishments.

An AFCD spokesman said the Legislative Council Panel on Food Safety and Environmental Hygiene was consulted in February. The Pesticides (Amendment) Regulation 2014, the Public Health (Animals and Birds) (Exhibitions) (Amendment) Regulation 2014 and the Public Health (Animals) (Riding Establishment) (Amendment) Regulation 2014, which set out the revised fees, have been passed by the Legislative Council.

Details of the 18 services and the adjusted fee levels are listed in the attached table(http://gia.info.gov.hk/general/201410/03/P201410030496_0496_135235.pdf).
