In view of the recent fish kills at Kau Lau Wan fish culture zone that are probably related to the occurrence of red tides and harmful algae, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) will arrange for mariculturists who have suffered serious losses to register tomorrow (January 29) for assistance from an emergency relief fund.

An AFCD spokesman said today (January 28) that relief funds would be released for affected mariculturists according to established criteria with a view to providing them with some relief.
