Country and Marine Parks Board to meet on next Tuesday

The following is issued on behalf of the Country and Marine Parks Board: Ends
The Country and Marine Parks Board will meet next Tuesday (March 22) and members of the public are welcome to attend as observers. Major items for discussion include:
* public consultation on Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan for Hong Kong;
* preparation of draft replacement maps of Plover Cove Country Park and Lantau South Country Park;
* preliminary boundaries and management plans of the proposed Southwest Lantau and Soko Islands Marine Parks; and
* Action Plan of Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark for 2016-17.
The meeting will be held in Room 701, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, at 2.30pm.
Member of the public interested in observing the meeting should contact the board secretary at 2150 6697 for seat reservations. Attendance will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
