Adopt your dog from a reputable animal welfare organization such as SPCA, SAA. Hong Kong has many abandoned or surrendered dogs suitable for adoption.

Don't buy dogs from hawkers or unlicenced animal traders or dogs that appear unwell.

Only bring puppies into Hong Kong if you have an import permit from AFCD. Never attempt to smuggle a puppy. If you buy a puppy outside Hong Kong it may require a lengthy period in quarantine..

Please make sure your dog is properly vaccinated and licenced.

Take your dog to a vet immediately after purchase for a check up.
