Works Supervisor (Country Parks) (Post-Retirement Service Contract)


Salary: $23,225 per month

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) is inviting applications for the position of Works Supervisor (Country Parks) (Post-Retirement Service Contract) under the Post-Retirement Service Contract (PRSC) Scheme.  Only retired civil servants / civil servants who are on final leave prior to their retirement meeting the following entry requirements are eligible for applying for this PRSC position.  Resignees will not be considered.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should be –
(1) retired Works Supervisor I (WSI) and Works Supervisor II (WSII) who have ceased work in the Country and Marine Parks (C&MP) Branch of AFCD for not more than three years as at 31.10.2017; and
(2) retiring WSI and WSII in the C&MP Branch of AFCD who are on final leave prior to their retirement as at 31.10.2017.

Candidates must have satisfactory performance and conduct in the most recent years of service in the Government.

Duties:
Mainly deployed on –
(1) routine inspections and maintenance of irrigation facilities;
(2) operations of irrigation facilities such as pumping stations and rubber dams;
(3) inspections and handling of complaint cases;
(4) supervision of site works by contract and casual labour;
(5) assisting supervisory officers in filing of records and reports; and
(6) any other duties assigned by seniors.
Working Hours:
The incumbents are required to work 45 hours gross per week (excluding meal break), may be required to work overtime, shifts or irregular hours, and / or work on an off-duty day, rest day, general holiday or statutory holiday.  Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.

Working Locations:
The post holders will be required to work in remote areas in the New Territories and premises / locations related to discharge of duties.

Terms of Appointment:
Applicants will be appointed on contract terms under the PRSC Scheme. The contract period is six to twelve months. The actual contract period will be determined by the AFCD according to operational needs.

Fringe Benefits:
14 days paid annual leave; rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

For pensioners taking up PRSC positions, the payment of their monthly pensions will be suspended under the pension legislation during the period of their PRSC employment, unless and until they have reached the applicable normal or prescribed retirement age specified in the relevant pension legislation.

Workman I (Country Parks) (Post-Retirement Service Contract)

Salary: $14,700 per month

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) is inviting applications for the position of Workman I (Country Parks) (Post-Retirement Service Contract) under the Post-Retirement Service Contract (PRSC) Scheme.  Only retired civil servants / civil servants who are on final leave prior to their retirement meeting the following entry requirements are eligible for applying for this PRSC position.  Resignees will not be considered.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should be –
(1) retired Workman I (WMI) who have ceased work in the Country and Marine Parks (C&MP) Branch of AFCD for not more than four years as at 31.10.2017;
(2) retiring WMI in the C&MP Branch of AFCD who are on final leave prior to their retirement as at 31.10.2017.

Candidates must have satisfactory performance and conduct in the most recent years of service in the Government.

Duties:
Mainly deployed on –
(1) manual work associated with construction and maintenance of footpaths as well as recreational areas and facilities;
(2) tree planting, tending and felling as well as grass cutting;
(3) litter collection and disposal;
(4) collection, delivery and stocking of store items as well as cleansing and general maintenance of mechanical tools.
(5) to drive Government vehicles when necessary; and
(6) to carry out any other relevant duties as may be required.

Working Hours:

Part-time Senior Field Assistant (Country Parks) (Post-Retirement Service Contract)

 


Salary: $154 per hour

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) is inviting applications for the position of Part-time Senior Field Assistant (Fisheries) (Post-Retirement Service Contract) under the Post-Retirement Service Contract (PRSC) Scheme.  Only retired civil servants / civil servants who are on final leave prior to their retirement meeting the following entry requirements are eligible for applying for this PRSC position.  Resignees will not be considered.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should –
(1) be retired Senior Field Assistants (Conservation and Country Parks) (SFA(C&CP)) who have ceased work in the Country and Marine Parks Branch of AFCD for not more than three years as at 31.10.2017; or
(2) be retiring SFA(C&CP) who are on final leave prior to their retirement as at 31.10.2017; and
(3) possess relevant experience in performing the duties set out below.

Candidates must have satisfactory performance and conduct in the most recent years of service in the Government.

Duties:
Mainly deployed on –
(1) providing assistance in organising in-house training for staff of Country Parks Divisions, and to instruct the frontline staff in the knowledge and skills necessary for management of country park management, including but not limited to the development and maintenance of country park facilities, tree works, tree planting and hill fire-fighting;
(2) inspection, set-up and reinstatement of the training venues;
(3) providing logistics support on training, including driving government vehicles when necessary; and
(4) performing other duties as assigned in respect of training activities.
Working Hours:
The incumbents are required to work no more than 17.5 hours per week, may be required to work shifts or irregular hours (may include Saturday, general holiday and statutory holiday).  Actual working hours will be arranged by supervisors.

Working Locations:
The post holders will be required to work in Kowloon Hill Management Centre and premises / locations related to discharge of duties.

Terms of Appointment:
Applicants will be appointed on contract terms under the PRSC Scheme. The contract period is six to twelve months. The actual contract period will be determined by the AFCD according to operational needs.

General Notes for Post-Retirement Service Vacancies


(A) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.
