Ting Kok Coastal Conservation Plan (Ting Kok +)

In view of the high ecological and scenic value of Ting Kok and Shuen Wan Hoi neighbourhood as well as Tolo Harbour and Tolo Channel, the Government initiated a new Ting Kok Coastal Conservation Plan (Ting Kok +) in 2012.
Ting Kok + serves 3 major functions:

To enhance long term ecological protection for the ecology at the Site of Special Scientific Interests (SSSI) in Ting Kok and Ting Kok East in Shuen Wan Hoi and Tolo Harbour;

To raise public awareness about the value of coastal ecology and ways for marine conservation; and

To consider the education value of the entire area and how it can be appropriately used by the public, students and for research purposes.

AFCD will organize a series of Ting Kok + activities regularly for public engagement and government-community collaboration with a view to jointly strengthening the ecological protection and education work.

Through this webpage, we hope to keep the public updated and involved. You are most welcome to send us your views or comments on issues related to Ting Kok + via email at
