This Chinese version is compiled based on the Flora of Hong Kong but making references to the latest botanical literature and specimens kept in the Hong Kong Herbarium.The Flora describes the seed plants (Gymnosperms and Angiosperms) occurring in Hong Kong systematically.Volume One covers 10 families in Gymnosperms and 76 families of Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledons) in Angiosperms.It will be followed by Volumes Two and Three for the remaining Magnoliopsida and Volume Four which deals with Liliopsida (Monocotyledons).

The Chinese version provides additional terminology descriptions in some families with more botanical drawings and upgraded colour photographs with higher resolution.
