Introduction

The rich biodiversity of Hong Kong is within easy reach from the city. To encourage the public to explore and learn about local biodiversity, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and 40 organisations, including non-governmental organisations, tertiary institutions, Government departments and the business sector, jointly organise the Hong Kong Biodiversity Festival 2016 (HKBF 2016). Under the theme “Connecting with Nature”, the HKBF 2016 offered over 130 biodiversity education programmes, including eco-tours, nature workshops, volunteer programmes and more!
