In Hong Kong, city and nature coexist harmoniously and are inextricably linked. To enhance public awareness of local biodiversity in both rural and urban areas, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and 48 partners, including non-government organisations, tertiary institutions, public and private sectors, jointly organised the annual programme “Hong Kong Biodiversity Festival (HKBF) 2018” under the theme “"City within Nature" to offer more than 100 education activities for the general public.
The “Love Song of Nature” Video
Guided by the voice of Timothy Cheng, the “Love Song of Nature” Video encouraged the general public to appreciate the nature surrounding them and become nature lovers.
The Mr. B Adventure Truck met the public in different places in Hong Kong, engaging them to learn more about living with nature in the busy urban city of Hong Kong.
Guided Eco-tours
A series of guided eco-tours were held to show the public how various types of urban premises and projects integrate with nature and to help them understand that city life and nature are closely linked.
