Description:
This colourful snakehead probably is an introduced species which can be readily recognized by its yellowish margined reddish dorsal, anal and caudal fins. The fish has a broad blunt head and cylindrical body and two prominent nostril tubes.

Distribution in Hong Kong
Probably an introduced species. Records from a few streams in North District.
Global Distribution
Sri Lanka, Mekong and Singapore. It is one of the species of conservation concern in Singapore which was rediscovered in 1970.
