Description:
A small-sized shrew; the pelage is light brownish-grey above, and paler grey to faintly tinged brown below; eyes are very small with prominent ears, and the snout is shrew-characterized tapered and pronounced, which projects beyond the lower lip; the tail is short, which is about 50% of the head-to-body length, and it is bi-coloured which is dark brown above, light below; both feet bear five digits with claws, thinly covered by short pale hairs on ventral side, and characterized by enlarged fore claws.

Fairly widely distributed. Found in Tai Po Kau, Pak Sha O, Wong Lung Hang and Pok Fu Lam.
Global Distribution
Assam, Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Peninsular Malaysia, and Southern China.
