Advice to the Public on Encountering Cattle/Buffalo

Feral cattle and buffalo are not domesticated animals. Please avoid both intentional and unintentional contact with these animals. Do not provoke or terrify them.

Do not feed the animals.

If you witness the cattle or buffalo fighting amongst themselves in the vicinity of the direction that you wish to travel, please keep a distance from such animals.

Please call the Government hotline 1823 if you feel that there is a possibility of danger to the public or nuisance caused by the feral cattle and buffalo or if there is any case of animal injury.
