There have been recent reports of food poisoning cases caused by the consumption of wild mushrooms collected from the countryside. It is often difficult to distinguish between poisonous mushrooms and the edible species. Therefore, the public is advised not to consume wild mushrooms collected from the countryside and parks as the cooking process cannot render them non-toxic.
