Country & Marine Parks Board to meet on Thursday The following is issued on behalf of the Country and Marine Parks Board: The 18th meeting of the Country and Marine Parks Board will be held on Thursday (January 11). Members of the public are welcome to attend as observers. Board members will discuss a proposal to improve the north-south access of Lantau, and give their views on a proposal to designate two marine parks at southwest Lantau and Soko Islands. Other agenda items include a suggestion to construct cable car facilities from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping, and Country and Marine Parks Authority Progress Report. The meeting will be held at the Room 701, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department Headquarters, 7th Floor, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon at 2.30 pm. Those who are interested to observe the meeting should contact the Secretary for the Board in advance on 2150 6697 for seat reservation. Attendance will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. |
