AFCD launches special offers in celebration of 26th anniversary of establishment of HKSAR

To celebrate the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic of China, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD), the Vegetable Marketing Organization (VMO) and the Fish Marketing Organization (FMO) roll out a number of special offers to share the joy with members of the public of the special occasion.
The Hong Kong Wetland Park offers free admission on July 1. Members of the public can enter the Wetland Park through the Visitor Centre without prior registration or ticket purchase. Apart from visiting the Wetland Reserve and the Visitor Centre, members of the public can also take part in public education activities to learn about the wetland environment and organisms from multiple perspectives. Furthermore, visitors to the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark (Hong Kong Geopark) Volcano Discovery Centre can obtain a free Hong Kong Geopark metal pin on July 1 if they follow the Hong Kong Geopark Instagram account (www.instagram.com/hongkongunescoglobalgeopark) or like the AFCD's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/afcdgovhk). Members of the public are welcome to visit the Centre to know more about the geological history of Hong Kong and the attractions of Hong Kong Geopark. Information of the Volcano Discovery Centre is available on www.volcanodiscoverycentre.hk.
Regarding sales promotions for local fisheries and agricultural products, the VMO and the FMO will offer a 29 per cent discount for designated products on the Local Fresh website (www.localfreshhk.com) and the Local Fresh 2.0 mobile app from July 1 to 7, to share the harvests of local farmers and fishermen with the general public. Specified local products include hydroponic babyleaf, accredited Chinese spinach, various organic vegetables, beetroot vegan soup, vegetable noodles, egg rolls, multiple Hong Kong Accredited Fish Farm Scheme products, organic jade perch, giant groupers cut, lobster meat, cuttlefish, dried silver shrimp, boiled giant grouper soups and pearl oyster meat XO sauce. Members of the public can visit the Local Fresh website or mobile app for details of the promotional offers. These products are available while stocks last.
