"Hand-drawn Marine Fish Calendar 2005" on sale The "Hand-drawn Marine Fish Calendar" published by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) is now on sale. With the hand-drawn coloured illustrations and simple description of a fish each week, people can quickly and easily learn about the 53 marine fish in Hong Kong waters, including Starry flying gurnard, African pompano, Common bluestripe snapper and Moon wrasse. Through this "learn-a-fish-a-week" calendar, AFCD aims to highlight the diversity of marine fisheries resources in Hong Kong and enhance public awareness on their conservation. The calendar is available for $30 a copy at Fisheries Education Centre, 1/F, Aberdeen Fisheries Offices, 100A, Shek Pai Wan Road, Aberdeen; Lions Nature Education Centre, Tsiu Hang, Sai Kung; Sai Kung Country Park Visitor Centre and major bookstores. During the period November 22 to 26, 2004 from 9am to 4.30pm the calendar is also on sale at G/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon.
