AFCD Seminar on One Health Approaches to Antimicrobial Resistance: Surveillance, Stewardship and Action


The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) will organise a one-day physical seminar on 23 October 2026 entitled “One Health Approaches to Antimicrobial Resistance: Surveillance, Stewardship and Action”.

The seminar will adopt a One Health approach, covering animal health, human health, food safety and the environment, to foster cross-sectoral dialogue on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and antimicrobial use (AMU) and to facilitate professional exchange. Through lectures delivered by experts, the seminar will explore AMR surveillance, prudent antimicrobial use, antimicrobial stewardship and related actions from a One Health perspective.

The target audience are veterinary professionals, veterinary paraprofessionals, medical and public health professionals, laboratory technicians, scientific officers, researchers and other relevant stakeholders.
