Growing Chinese Cabbage
Growing period : From October to March.
Growing environment :

It grows best in rich humus loamy soil with good drainage and ventilation, and a pH value between 6.5 and 7.0.

Planting and spacing :

Around 20 days after sowing, seedlings can be transplanted when coming into 2 - 3 true leaves.

Plant and row spacing should be about 30 cm (12 inches).

Application of fertilizer and management :

Basal dressing: Apply about 1,000 kg compost or 90 kg of both peanut cake and bone meal to each d.c..

Top dressing: Apply top dressing 2 weeks after planting. Apply 20 g organic fertilizer (N:P:K = 4:3:3) to each plant. Apply top dressing again two weeks later. Then, depending on the growth condition, spray liquid fertilizer once to the leaves if necessary.

(1 d.c.= 674 square metres or 7,260 square feet)

Harvesting:

It is ready for harvest about 45 - 65 days after planting when the heads are compact and firm, depending on the climate.
