“The Ocean’s New Clothes” T-shirt Graphic Design Competition 2016

Competition Results:

The competition concluded successfully with more than 3100 entries received from 5 categories. The judging panel has selected a champion, a 1st runner-up, a 2nd runner-up, a best design concept award and ten outstanding awards in each group, and two most supportive school awards. The prize presentation ceremony was held on 4 December 2016 at Fortune Metropolis, Hung Hom.

Objectives:

To raise students’ awareness of keeping the marine environment clean through the design of T-shirt graphics. 
To disseminate the message of keeping the marine environment clean and treasuring the beauty of our marine environment through the display of all winning entries and selected works. 

 

 

 

 

Theme:

All entries should take “The beauty of Hong Kong’s Marine Environment” or “Keep the Marine Environment Clean” as the theme.

Terms and Conditions:

1) Entrants must enter their information correctly on the entry forms.  The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who omits or misrepresents any information.
2)   Each entrant may submit a maximum of 2 entries, which must be completed by himself/herself (except for the Family Group).  Late submission will not be accepted.
3) All entries must be the entrants’ original works, which have not been published before.  The entrants should bear the legal responsibilities of the copyright of their entries.  The Organiser will not assume any liability.
4)  The copyright of all entries shall vest in the Organiser, who shall have the right to publish, exhibit, print, distribute entries or use entries for production of publication through any media as well as to use entrants’ names and photos for non-commercial promotion without obtaining the prior consent of the entrants or paying them any fees.
5) By submitting their entries, the entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the competition.
6) The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or entry, or revoke or withdraw any award or prize presented.
7) The Organiser reserves the right to use or dispose of the entries.  All entries submitted will not be returned.  If entrants wish to get back their entries, they are required to apply to the Organiser in writing within 30 days of announcement of results.
8) The Organiser reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions or make arrangements relating to the competition without prior notification.
9) In case of dispute, the Organiser’s interpretation and decision shall be final.


Personal Data Collection Statement: 
The personal information is provided by the entrant on a voluntary basis and will be used solely for relevant activities organised by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.  The information will be provided to the staff concerned for processing, contact and relevant purposes.  If an entrant wishes to make access to or correction of the personal data provided, he/she has to make the request in writing.  If the entrant fails to provide sufficient, correct and clear information, the request may not be processed.

Ting Kok Eco-tour and Coastal Cleanup  
 
Through coastal cleanup activity, participants can understand more about coastal pollution and how to take practical steps to protect the shore.  In addition, AFCD will organize a guided tour to introduce to the participants the geographical and ecological features of Ting Kok after cleanup.
