What and how do they eat?

A horseshoe crab is feeding a marine worm.

Their favourite prey includes worms, mollusks and dead fish. When crawling on the sea bottom, they use the first pair of their pincer-like legs (i.e. the smaller one) to detect food and use the other ciliated legs to pass the food to the mouth.
