Life History and Behaviour Where do horseshoe crabs live?
Juvenile horseshoe crabs normally spend their first few years on the intertidal habitats, such as sandy beach and mudflat. Then they will move offshore and live in the sea bottom. During breeding season, both male and female horseshoe crabs crowd up on the beach at high tide to mate. After that, they will go back to their living place. |
