Publicity and Promotion

AFCD is establishing a promotional platform to enhance the awareness and promotion of local leisure fisheries. The aim is to inform the public about local leisure fisheries activities, enhance recognition and participation, stimulate demand for these activities, and create opportunities to attract fishermen to transition into this sector. Additionally, the department seeks to promote to fishermen about the diverse developments within leisure fisheries.

In October 2024, AFCD held the “Sail into Fun” Leisure Fisheries Expo at Domain Mall in Yau Tong. This expo featured a variety of unique leisure fisheries activities from across Hong Kong, including workshops, guided tours, lectures, dramas, and sales booths, showcasing the diversity of local leisure fisheries to the public.
