...內，人類進食受 污染貝類便有可能出現中毒症候。常見的貝類中毒包括可致命的神經紊亂麻痺性貝類中毒、引致腸 胃不適的下痢性貝類中毒、引致腸胃不適和神經紊亂的神經性貝類中毒，以及引致腸胃及神經系統 失調的失憶性貝類中毒，嚴重者可能致命。 只有少數藻類曾導致大量野生和養殖魚類死亡。魚類透過直接攝入受污染水體中的毒素或食物鏈造 成生物積聚，均可能中毒死亡。此外藻類毒素亦會刺激魚鰓製造大量黏液，或直接堵塞魚鰓妨礙吸 氧，令魚類窒息而死。大規模和高濃度的藻華會耗盡環境中的養份，令微藻下沉，細菌分解微藻導 致底層氧氣枯竭，水中含氧量低於每公升 2 毫克時會出現低氧現象，當水中的含氧量接近零時便會 出現缺氧。由...
