檢疫偵緝犬計劃
... 偵緝犬執勤時，須在入境口岸穿梭於人群之間，所以性格必須友善外向，漁護署認為拉布拉多犬和比格犬這兩種犬隻最適合擔當這個任務。參加本計劃的每隻偵緝犬都經過細心挑選，每小時至少能檢查三百人。本計劃的檢疫偵緝犬主要從澳洲及英國挑選回港，檢疫偵緝犬隊負責人亦嘗試到署方轄下各動物管理中心及本地動物福利機構，從被遺棄的犬隻中挑選合適犬隻作進一步訓練。 由於牠們溫馴友善、樂意與人合作、而且嗅覺異常靈敏(據稱至少比人類敏銳一百倍)，處事冷靜，不受入境口岸嘈雜的環境影響，因此頗受旅客歡迎，並認為牠們沒有威脅性。 上 一 頁 返 回 頁 首 ...
