...年3月期間在香港水域, 記錄了野生江豚所發出的原聲訊號。江豚產生短促而高頻率的卡搭聲, 但亦在這些動物出現的地方同時聽到一種奇怪的雜聲。訊號分析顯示江豚的聲音包括標準窄頻道的鼠海豚聲音, 及非標準的寬頻道聲音。人類通常不能直接聽到江豚的聲音, 但在牠們游近水聽器時, 我們則可於收聽器中聽到一些清楚的拍子。比較發聲記錄及江豚聲波探測器的數據結果, 顯示江豚聲波探測器是用以調查江豚的有效工具。 我們用86個搜集自香港﹑福建省南部和台灣水域擱淺或漁業誤捕的江豚樣本, 以研究南中國水域江豚的成長和生殖方面等資料。樣本的年齡鑒定是透過切割及染色牙齒的薄質層, 及計算齒質和白堊質生長層組群(GLGs)。由...
