Inclement Weather Special Arrangements
When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued
In general, our offices and the counters/centres will be closed when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued. If a pre-No.8 special announcement is made during office hours, the services will continue until all attending public present have been served.
When Black Rainstorm Warning or “Extreme Condition” announcement is issued
In general, our offices and the counters/centres will be closed when a black rainstorm warning or “Extreme Condition” announcement is issued before office opening hour. If such signal or announcement is issued during office hours, our offices and the counters/centres will remain open.
When Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8, Black Rainstorm Warning or “Extreme Condition” announcement is lowered or cancelled
If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8, Black Rainstorm Warning or “Extreme Condition” announcement is lowered or cancelled on a working day (i.e. Monday to Friday), subject to the circumstances prevailing at the time, our offices and the counters/centres will generally aim to re-open either at the usual time in the morning or within two hours after the lowering or cancellation. However, our offices and the counters/centres will in any event remain closed if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8, Black Rainstorm Warning or the “Extreme Condition” announcement is lowered or cancelled two hours or less before their normal closing hour on Monday to Friday.
